About Us
Overview
Welcome to St. Paul's Professional Centre. We feel very fortunate to have moved
into a brand new college campus in September 2004. An integral part of the vision
and design of the college was our own Professional Centre. We wanted the best possible
resource for our own staff and something that would meet their professional development
needs.
We recognise that the most important factors in the classroom are the teacher, students
and culture of a school. It is due to this that we have looked to develop our vibrant
Professional Centre. This has had a direct impact on raising achievement at St.
Paul's Catholic College. This has led the college to achieving very high levels
of standards, including results and contextual value added.
In the most recent Ofsted report in November 2007 it said:"When you enter the school
you are struck by something indefinable. It is a unique, caring place where children
flourish". It went on to say that, "all groups of students make excellent progress.
This is a direct result of the outstanding teaching and learning".
We are very proud of this achievement but realise that we cannot be complacent and
need to continually improve and evaluate current practice.
We warmly invite you to get involved with any of the work we are doing - the Professional
Centre is at the heart of the school so I am sure you will get a clear image of
the college in action - we often involve students in hosting our courses and events.
